Hello, Ladies!
Now, I know what you are thinking…but this isn’t a ploy to get a date. No, actually this is an ad for becoming a writer for my site. If you don’t already know, Koku Gamer specializes in reviewing both games and anime and the reason I am making this ad is because we are in need of some diversity. Now, we DO have female writers, but the male to female ratio is kind of one-sided. Also, the other reason behind this is because I want a girl gamer’s/otaku’s opinion and point of view of things, especially in an industry that seems to be male-dominated. There are a few requirements:
-You are required to have a Facebook. The reason for this is because I have a Staff group created for communication between writers to make sure nobody cross-reviews something. The last thing I want is a war between writers over who did the Mass Effect 3 review first and whatnot.
-Be able to handle negative criticism. The gaming and anime community does contain unsavory types who are self-proclaimed elitist and will troll an article just get their point across or just to troll. If you can handle this, you can handle anything.
-Be honest! I can’t stress this enough. If a game or anime sucks, then say so. It’s not our fault that a company put out a crappy game or anime, it’s theirs. So, if we payed good money for something that turned out to be terrible, then we as the consumer have every right to say what we think about it!
