Respected UK-based independent videogames media specialist, Gamer’s Guide to Life.com, seeks voluntary writers to join in either a newsteam or editorial capacity.

We seek enthusiastic, passionate and skilled writers to join our fast-paced, ever-changing and challenging operations.

About the roles

Editorial positions involve a multitude of tasks relating to the substantial editorial operations of Gamer’s Guide to Life.com. As a baseline, editorial staff are expected to produce two substantial written articles per week, on subjects of their own choice, based upon their own knowledge and prior research. Articles include opinions, analysis, reactions to industry happenings, reviews, previews, features etc. Furthermore, editorial candidates may be asked to assist with producing multimedia content.

Newsteam positions involve the daily production of short but highly detailed news articles for quick, mass public consumption. Writers are expected to publish a minimum of three news articles each day, forming their news output from press releases, games news across online and print media, announcements and various other sources. Newsteam members are also expected to seek out new, exclusive information or ‘scoops’ to bring to public attention.

All members have good knowledge of what types of content drive traffic and would be of mass public interest, and are expected to assist with events coverage and other large undertakings.
