After establishing ourselves as a legit news and opinion source, our small staff proved too small to shoulder the load. Add in my increasingly busy schedule and things basically stopped. Well, that’s going to change starting now. theBitFix.com is now officially looking for all new staff.

What we’re looking for:

Managing Editor
The managing editor will oversee the day-to-day operations here. He or she will not be expected to write as much as others, but they will be expected to pick up any slack where needed. You’re my go-to-guy and the last line of defence against bad things making it onto the site.

Editor over News and Reviews
Either of these will be basically assignment editors. You will oversee either the news or reviews. You must read everything that comes out under your watch and make sure everything is formatted and posted correctly. Typically, this would be the job of the copy editor, but we won’t have one of those. You will also contribute to your respective sections when needed.

News Writers
News writers will report the news. You must be clear and ready to get your points across to the readers. You will also be able to write opinion pieces if your editor approves them. This spot is NOT about simply copy and pasting press releases. Have fun with what you write — humour is good. Just keep it under control

Review writers
Read the “News Writers” bit but replace “news” with reviews. Basically.

Podcasters
Eventually, we would love to have a podcast. When this happens, we need someone to record, edit and post it.

Currently this is not a paying job and all the revenue goes back into the site. When there’s extra, it will get spread around.
